  • Xanxiety cartoon strip: Episode 3

"Delusions of Xangrandeur" A "Xanxiety" comic strip, hand drawn for the most part, and only slightly tweaked in the Picture Publisher software. This is my "Xanga Blogathon Entry" for Day #4.

  • An excellent piece of artwork, Mike, and thank heavens you recovered. You'd think an exploded head would take longer to get over....

  • Only 88 comments? We know this one will be a hit.

  • Haha, nice work!... I would feel quite sorry for you if that was your real doctor's name ;)   Sometimes I feel like a lot of people around here need to take a hiatus :)

  • @leaflesstree - @Ro_ad808 - @webofsimplicity - What, only three comments? (I sometimes wonder how many people think I'm serious, when I have created video blogs where I start out by exclaiming "Only 159 comments?" It never gets old......to me.) Oh, and where are the recommends? (Gawd, I'm shameless, aren't I?)  I'm really excited about the entry I have planned around the IMPORTANT (mass) MESSAGE I sent out today....Turquoise. Mother (rest her dear soul) used to tell me I was her "little genius" one moment, and then the next she'd be deriding me for having "delusions of grandeur." I've planned doing this "swelled head" Xanxiety comic for at least the last six months! Michael. Yes, these Xanxiety comix always seem to touch a nerve in the Xangasphere. I call these "Xangacentric entries" and each one usually gets on top of top blogs sooner or later. However, I didn't "tag" the Xangacelebs whom I "name" this time out, so lets see how long it takes. I'm checking comments every ten minutes or so.... but pretty soon I have to go to bed..... Kelly, My real doctor's name is Huong, not "Ahole" and he's been my doc since he was a resident. Possibly an intern. He replaced my previous doctor, who sadly, passed away a few years ago from cancer. I've written more blog entries this month than I have since last September. So I guess I am "officially back." Never can tell though, what'll happen next week. MFN/ppf

  • LOL this is brilliant!

  • So.......your head exploded last summer?  Wow.......

    Cool strip.

  • That is just brilliant!!!  ~~Blessings 'n Cheers

  • Yeah, that's how I feel too (at least sometimes:  had some negative feedback in real life two months ago, and backed off for awhile).

  • The doctor really told you to stay off of Xanga?   THAT BASTARD!!!!

  • In Xangland did Mike hope he can
With simple pleasure make his plea:
    Where the vanity river ran
Through seeds, make a popular man
    Down with Xanxiety.

    (apologies to Coleridge)

  • That doctor doesn't know squat! Lol, at theguywhoasksquestionscafe.

  • You're quite the cartoonist. :)

  • LOL,  you are quite talented, Mike.

I think I have had Xaniety before, so I can definitely relate.  The only cure is hiatus, but I am glad you're back.

  • I need to start making comics of my own escapades...

  • Ah, so THAT'S what happen.  Poor head.

  • You're number three on the front page right now with only seventeen comments, while spontaneous spitball languishes back at sixteenth place with one hundred and fifteen comments. Wow, squeaky wheels really do get greased! LOL

  • Xanga must be taken in moderation, Mike.    Well, done!

  • "like" There feel better!

  • Exploding head syndrome is common on Xanga. *KABLOOY* is the proper spelling for the headsplosion of a poet.

  • @flatpick46 - Randy, Swelled heads burst eventually. I'm living proof.

@hesacontradiction - Ann, Truthfully, I haven't seen my doc since a year ago January for my last physical. Sort of had enuf with doctors following the hip revision and cataract surgery. I plan to schedule another appt. in about 3 or 4 months for my yearly checkup, but I wasn't taking my cholesterol pills, and want to take them for a few months b4 seeing him again.

@an_OM_aly - Linda, I recognized the source right away. Did you ever read my poem, "Xangadon"? (3rd one down the page)

@lil_mama2499 - Val, In other parody posts, I've called Dan's blog "C.S. Clueless", "TheRighteousCafe", and "TheRagamuffinsCafe"

@Zimbo - Rob, But thank you so much for your comment on The Cultural Blender video, which is the post I wish more people would have noticed.

@buddly47 - Dear Harold, This entry went up later than the one to which you refer, and has more recommends. I "engineered' this entry to get to the top spot on Top Blogs, but it isn't there yet. (Whoops, just got there while I was writing this reply comment.) Comedy always seems to be something people enjoy. Long links laden entries like I usually create aren't that popular. LOL. Self deprecating comedy really makes a hit. Next week, I'm going to don a black wig and sing "Friday".

  • @baldmike2004 - Hahaha, you know I'm just giving you a hard time, Mike! I'll be looking forward to that entry, you know how much I love hearing you sing! lol

  • Mike,

Haha, now I won't ask why I had not seen you around here. And gosh, you've come back with funny confession, Mike! I love this comic. I always knew you could draw, but this latest is amazing and fun! Thanks for visiting my site. But hey, I've been absent for a month too, but can't give enough explanation why because I think there's no excuse for a lazy blogger like me. Hugs and cheers!

  • I do love comics, it's true. You are very talented.

  • I just came in from planting to take a quick break~ and noticed, You're #1 today!

  • I'm a xanxiety virgin, being new to these xangian parts. Glad to meet ya'. Great cartoon!  Even as a beginner, I can get xanxious myself. It's a sickness, I tell ya!!.

  • Dear Bald Mike,

Let's face it, the only thing all of Xanga has in common is Xanga itself, which makes metablogs the most entertaining thing to read for xanga as a whole.

    Enjoyed the post.
