Welcome to the 11th Internet Island Topic Post. We had 28 responses to Post #10. For this post, I'm giving you three choices on which to write. I am inviting you to 1. write a "rant" and also 2. I'm "borrowing" an idea from another blog. 3. Mother's Day is coming.

11.01: "Xanga Disappointments or Successes." This past Saturday I posted a blog entry showcasing one of my "internet movies". I left the post up an extra day, but only got 12 comments, and hardly any of those critiqued the actual video I presented. I got a little disappointed, simply because on YouTube the video got lots of hits, and generated three comments, so I felt a bit bad about the Xanga post. Have you ever posted anything on your blog that got a disappointing response? On the flip side, did you ever post something that got a lot of response, or maybe even Featured Content, that came as a complete surprise?
11.02: "If I Were a Carpenter...." I am borrowing this concept from Jeri's ( jerjonji) site. She borrowed it from Merrow_Mistal and I was told it was a blogtag game about a year ago. I thought it was a pretty neat challenge. Find five things you could be and complete the sentence on how it would contribute to society. The choices do not necessarily have to be those below, which are merely prompts.

11.03: "Mother's Day." Tis the season to celebrate our parents. I've seen quite a few entries on blogs which detail the lives of our parents. A lot of bloggers are parents and grandparents, and family is always very important, although it sometimes seems that the "family unit" is cha nging in society. Write a Mother's Day or Father's Day entry. Make it your own, in your own style, celebrating or discoursing about your parents.
YOU ONLY HAVE TO WRITE ONE TOPIC. OR MORE IF YOU WANT. IT'S ALL UP TO YOU!
Remember, the tabs at the top of theInternet Island Blogring Page will "sort" the members by latest post, date joined, and alphabetical Username. Use the ring page to find new Islanders, or older ones you might not have visited in a while. It's OUR Island, and we're a great group of people with different interests, fantastic stories, and wonderful lives, and we have a great deal of love for our fellow man.
There are no "right" or "wrong" responses to any Topic Post for Internet Island. All responses are just as valid as any other response

Thanks for answering my questions and thanks for the lengthy explanation for the I.I. topic. I know I really didn't need to appologize, but I felt like I needed to, you know? I really did enjoy that video. How long did it take you to do that? How long does it take for you to do all of your videos?
Thanks for the comment on my post. I was surprised to find that I was the first person to post an answer. It was really shocking, of course I had too much time on my hands today. Since Saturday, I have no car and therefore had nothing to do, plus I didn't feel that great. I'm sick of television, and I feel like I need to write, but I'm not sure what I want to write about and I'm not sure where to start.
I'm glad you enjoyed the story about Isabelle, and I'm hoping to post the ending of the story as we draw closer to Mother's Day. It's going to be great! (I hope). I'm also surprised that it didn't take long to write both posts. It's crazy. I must've been pretty quick this morning, even though it didn't feel like it.

I'm In Michael - but this may be another cleansing opportunity for me... my memories of mother's day growing up are not fond... but sometimes writing about it helps me realize how much i've moved on

Sadly, I cannot participate in these blog entry challenges.. i have some nasty people floating around who I do not wish to reveal anything to! This is the unfortunate negative side-effect of maintaining my privacy and a protecteed blog
