Pacific Coast Highway Photo Slideshow
This entry will be my first "piggyback entry" that I am posting on my new "mirror blog" on the MySpace site.If any of my Xanga readers are also on MySpace, please let me know so that I can add you to my "friends" network over at that site. The blog on MySpacewill have somewhat different posts at first, but soon most posts will be identical on both blogs, and there will be cross referencing like I do with my regular website AllThingsMikeand the Xanga blog.I seem to favor doing these things on Holidays. I created WhenWordsCollide on Xanga on Memorial Day 2004. I am creating the MySpace version on Easter 2006.
Below is my first "stills slideshow" on my YouTube site. It joins the other 13 "internet movies", including the "Video Blogs" which are already online. I've noticed that some photo sites are offereing slideshow features that people put on their blogs, and most have music, but none of them have arranged the photos to the beat of the music. With my "stills slideshows", which I create in Pinnacle's Studio 9.4 software, just like my "movies", I use the "pan and zoom" control, and edit to the beat. This particular slideshow is composed of most of the 270 photos I have posted on the two Pacific Coast Highway folders in my Webshots Gallery. I've already posted some of my "favorites" here on WhenWordsCollide in two different PhotoPosts. The majoritiy of the music I am using is an original composition called "Chamber Metal" from Andreas Braunlich (Scratchinpost.net) who also has a Xanga blog called scratchinpost.This is streaming video from YouTube, and sometimes they can be pretty slow to download, esp. if you have dial up. I would suggest hitting the play button in the middle of the viewscreen, then hitting "pause" until the light grey "download progress" bar passes the quarter or half way point, then hitting "play" again. That way the video won't "stop" to catch up with itself, which can be quite nerve wracking. I hope you like this new "MikeVideo" offering with a host of the Pacific Coast Highway photos. Seen in the video is PCH outside of my hometown, Lomita, and traveling to Torrance, Wilmington, Long Beach, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, and El Segundo. The next segment will include Venice Beach and Santa Monica and later in the year, I'll take footage and photos along the coast up to Morro Bay and beyond. The photos of the actual beach are a few blocks south of Pacific Coast Highway, for those of you who are purists. Enjoy. Thinking of you at Eastertide. Did I ever tell you the number of joyous hours I've spent going up and down the Pacific Coast Highway? It's been about five or six years since I was last there. From Morro Beach to the south, and inland to Ojai and Solvang. On other trips there were mellow places like San Pedro.

Regarding your fight that was big news by end of school day- I've had a similar experience and have considered writing about it fully. (maybe if you have an internet island post assignment) Here's the deal in a nut shell, I got into it with one kid and it dominoes into what was supposed to be a fight between he, his friend and I. I said let's pick a place and I'll kick your butt in front of all your loser friends. I picked a day and watched from across the street as all those retards ( had to be about 25 kids) waited on someone who had no intention of showing up.
The next day I turned the tables by pointing out what a gullible buffoon he and his buds were for being led to where ever I said to show up.
