  • Yes, it’s time for another entry in XangaLand. I just created the 22nd image for the ElectricPoetry Group on Yahoo. I want to thank Periculosus Z for joining ElectricPoetry, although you haven’t posted anything yet, I am waiting for your first entry. Here is my latest image, #22, using three separate photos I took at the O.C. Fair yesterday. There are two photos shot inside and outside of the “Parasol” shop, and the image of Kokopelli (I love Kokopelli, and he is the image of my romance with Regina.) is superimposed on the Japanese parasols. It’s a fairly simple juxtaposition, but I think it works rather well as “art”.

I am also “presenting” some of the other images for the “ElectricPoetry Group”. I have met some excellent poets on Xanga, BTW, and will probably be inviting the “lot of you” to join my group. But first things first. Here are some more of my photos being used as the backdrop for my group.

(Edit) It seems strange not to post a poem, so here goes. This is one of the Regina Poems from 2000. Too bad the relationship only lasted three months, the average, I guess. (Except for Pat, which was three actual “years”.)

      Unseen Beauty, Take My Hand”

poetry for the muse, my Regina, my Queen

Thou art inspiring in the extreme, a moment’s glance to perfection couldn’t stir me more
Than when you write me flowers of wisdom, and send me thoughtpoems of perfection
You inspire in me a torrent of unexplainable thoughts and emotions,
A whirlwind of ecstatic wonderfulness, enhanced by pure radiance, and kindness.

I am sated by your words, I am but putty in your hands,
I want to inspire as much as thou, but, oh, my tender heart is shackled to reality,
And these wondrous moments from only you tear me into bits of imperfection
Which pale beside your unseen beauty.

I wait, like the steadfast oaks and timbers, bound to the soil of my life,
Ever wanting to taste these lips of kindness, and breathe deep the inspiration which within me dawns
Like the yellow orb which scales the heavens each and every day,
And falls unrelieved into the horizon every night.

I might not see you yet, but I feel you with a feeling unmatched and a purpose fulfilled.
I might not touch you yet, but I am touched in ways in which I cannot understand.
The Love in your unseen eyes is blinding, and I am blinded by this purpose, and will not sway
    my currents
This is the reasoned heartbeat of existence which I held so dear for so long.
This is the tender mercies of valhalla visited upon me.
These are our times of pleasure, and Unseen Beauty, take my hand,
As we shall walk the paths of perfection, and steal glances at natural love.
    Be mine today and forever.
And the unseeming calamity of our unreality can wait, like those timbers of my soul,
Till finally, Unseen will be seen, and the Beauty will be blinding to us both.

  • Speaking of talent, I see a lot of talent here.  You write, you compute, you do graphics and you build internet sites.  I don’t think you have seen anything new under the sun in my sites and no extreme overflow of talent either.

You said something again in my comments, something on the order of you have so many readers and possibly not seeing your comment as it might be lost in among others.  First, I have more readers than commenters and my number of commenters and/or readers is nothing to brag about.  I have some faithful friends who try to keep up with me and I them but there is no great popularity of my blog.  I did manage to make it to the front page twice, one blog I closed to private so that bit of fame was lost and the previous post made it there also.  Controversy and upset seem to get me there.  I enjoy doing what I do and I always hope for a following and one that might grow but, believe me, I am no well-known site here in Xanga and I have no real interest in staying in the spotlight with controversy.  I think controversy is though, a part of my life for a little while yet. I wager with your energy, you will fast overrun what I do and I wish you the best in doing it.  Enjoy kiddo, you seem to have worked very hard for your place in the sun but I’ll rest in the shadows for a while. :sunny:

    Regards,

  • You have an undying sense of humor I could never fail but to love. :sunny:

  • Ah doth not the little lamp-posts grow
Deep in the bright green snow?
And doth not the books talk all night
About how cups and saucers bite?

Thanks for all your long comments, I could give your forum a go if it’s not one that the Three_Headed_Sarahs’ have been banned from.

  • i love kokopelli also… my kitchen is full of them.  I like the way the shape of the fans are mirrored in the kokopelli’s form… very visually interesting.
