    Well, although it looks like the place needed the "spring cleaning" I wouldn't call it filthy dirty and the only "bad" thing that could be blamed on you and Joel is where the cat shredded the carpet. The worst stuff was the handyman's fault! Malcolm is a she?

    Pausing the video to write a few thoughts: first, I would say the place is definitely "filthy dirty" (the bathroom that hadn't been cleaned in ages (!!), the hallway carpet, the couch (ick!!), holes in the wall, stain on the ceiling, dirt and dust. A combination of filth and disrepair leave the place with little to be desired. But your place reminds me of inner city slums where landlords do nothing to maintain the flats they rent, and now the guy is forcing you out so he can renovate and charge more? Incredible. Instead, I would have liked to have seen a landlord that worked with you to fix the place. He put the money in to make repairs, and you put the money in for cat damage, etc. In this case, I'd be seeking the advice of a lawyer. Cats. We have two, and they are something. The worst is the litter box, and I saw you have one of those. It's dirty like ours. Ick. I'd love to have one of the new self-cleaning ones, but they aren't affordable yet, in the several hundreds of dollars.

    Well documented, friend. I watched most of it but had to multitask a couple of times. Kind of the way I watch TV - listening to every word and really getting a feel for the way you are as a person. It's a beautiful glimpse into your life. I hope i'ts not necessary to use it in court, but it should serve you well if it does.

    Mike you are a hoot...I can tell that guys live in this house My lanlord (she) loves to come in and see what I have done to my place (her's) but anything I improve comes off the rent as well. I guess I have been here long enough that she trust we do quality work. I am sure from your videos that there is nothing like owning your own!!!

    I have a three-legged black cat who goes into spasms of shock for a few weeks after a chair or two is moved... They are certainly characters.

    That water damage would have had me fuming.
