A Short History of Broadway Teaser
"It's another opening for another show"
I don't know how many of my readers know of my love for American Musical Theater. One of the projects I've had in mind for over a year or so now is something I have been calling "A Short History of Broadway." I've compiled a chronological list of some of the hit Broadway shows over the years, and I'm going to (ahem) sing some snippets from the songs, and create a video referencing some of these wonderful musicals.This is quite fun, because, as you all know, I can't sing.
But that never stops me.
I've begun the recording process. I tape myself, and then I figure out whether or not the 'take' is good enough to record. Tonight's "performance" wasn't that great, but I made a kind of mashup of some of what I have so far. These may or may not make it to the final reel, as it were. But it's a chance for those of you who like to be entertained, to let me entertain you (to coin a phrase.) for a bit.
The video will be quite elaborate, featuring lots of images from the shows themselves, perhaps, or maybe not. I haven't figured it all out yet.
But so far, here's a bit of a teaser. Let's hope you're all entertained somewhat by a mashup of some numbers from some great Broadway musicals, circa 1940-1950 or so.

I love musicals! One of my favs is Seven Brides for Seven Brothers! There are so many I've seen as movies, and wish I'd have seen on the stage!

Well, I know for certain that you can't sing now Mike, but I give you an A+ for effort and heart, my friend!
Well, you're not the worst singer that I've ever heard (that would be my tone deaf brother), but I do hope you don't quit your day job and run away to Broadway unless you plan on working as a stagehand.
I can't say I'm real familiar with too many musicals, with the notable exception of West Side Story. My mother is quite fond of that show and used to play the soundtrack just about non-stop when she was mad or happy or just wanted music, rewinding the tape to play her favorite songs again and again. As a result, I've memorized a good portion of the music, even though I've only seen the actual movie once.

how they create post headlines to grab people interested.
You might add a related video or a related picture or two
to grab people interested about what you've written. Just my opinion, it
might make your blog a little bit more interesting.
