Mike's Video Blog #6.3: May 13th, 2007. Almost Homeless Part 3 (8 min. 33 sec.)
The scary morality tale "Almost Homeless" concludes with Part 3. Mike is breathlessly spring cleaning, in a last ditch effort to stave off his pending eviction, when the insidious landlord and owner drops by the housing complex, and Mike confronts him, setting the stage for the positive outcome of a long bothersome situation.
I've been scouring the Xanga video section and I continually troll YouTube looking for similar "videoblogs" to mine. I've seen some "beginner's graphics" and credit sequences, and I've viewed some rather nice video slideshows, but for the most part, nobody I have come across presents such complete "video blogs" as I do. These do take an inordinately long time to assemble. Most of the footage in "Almost Homeless" was shot as I was doing the cleaning. There are a few insert sequences, and some of the "dialogue" is practiced, memorized, and recited, but for the most part I just shot footage as usual, and then "created" the video in the editing console.
Like other video blogs, I pretty much know what my "subject" is, and what I want to say. How I go about the delivery is what is unique, I think, among web videobloggers.
I'm really concentrating on establishing a "video presence" here on Xanga. Thanks to my readers (and "viewers") who are already catching on to the fact that I'm posting about one video a week, and who dutifully leave comments and stars on the videos as they are added to my Video Page, which now contains 13 videos, I can usually spot my videos on or near the front pages of Xanga's video section. I am getting "viewership" because of the exposure, although I often wonder why EVERYONE doesn't gasp in awe and wonder at my creative "masterpieces" and why I don't get thousands of views and dozens of comments a day. I did win a "tie" in the "Miscellaneous" category in Dan's (TheTheologian's Cafe) recent Video Contest, but there were only about two dozen votes cast for that particular category.
At least I know that there are some "fans" among my readers who do enjoy my video compilations, and "TV Series" like "Almost Homeless". Next up on Mike's Video Blog, a "travelblogue". I want to mount the camera to the front of my car as I drive around some of the more cultually prominent places in the L.A. area, giving people all over the country a view of my fair city. I'm sure it won't be slapped together in one day, although I have made videoblogs before in one day. However long it takes, I assure you I will attempt to bring you another entertaining, humorous, and educational video blog.

I so admire your skill in making your vids. Out of the last two I tried, one would not load, and the other loaded in fast motion. Don't know what the heck I am doing or not doing, let alone the editing. Guess I just give up, and will have to enjoy yours and others that know what they are doing.
