  • Mike’s Video Blog #6.1: Almost Homeless Part 1

    I’ve completed the latest MikeVideo Internet Movie. It’s Mike’s Video Blog #6.1: Almost Homeless Part 1. Just TOO BIG to be put in one video, Almost Homeless Parts 1 and 2 collectively comprise the daunting tale of Mike’s winter struggles and spring surprises.

    After suffering through a particularly bad winter, living in a construction zone as the new landlord renovates and adds a bathroom, Mike then finds he is evicted. Zaniness ensues.

     Watch as our hero turns his camera on the devastation that a major construction project can create, finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel when suddenly without warning he is given two months to get out of the house or be forced out.


    And that’s not all.Right as he thinks he’s okay with the boss man, he’s given only THREE DAYS to clean up or leave the premises.

    This video is the combination of footage for a video I didn’t make about the renovations being made on our house, and footage I took that “might have been used in court” if I didn’t come to an agreement with my landlord concerning my eviction. Convinced that this might be the makings of an interesting “quick” video blog for Xanga, I began the project after I was allowed to stay in the house, on April 29th. It is now May 6 and I have finally put the finishing touches on the first part. This entry doesn’t have comments. Please watch the video and leave comments (don’t forget the stars) on the VIDEO PAGE. My last video got to postition #6.Being evicted is really not funny. But I’ve done my best. And this is just part 1. I’m working on the EXCITING CONCLUSION right now!!!!!

My video is either #1, #2, or #3 on the main Xanga video page for most starred, viewed, and discussed, and it’s only been online for a few hours. The “sequel” should be up tomorrow (Monday) or Tuesday. Thanks so much for the support so far. I’d still like to see Cultural Blender get higher. Go give it some stars if you haven’t already. If enough of my regular readers see these videos and “vote” for them, the momentum will be enough to keep the videos on the front Xanga pages, which will, in turn, allow more people to see them.
