Announcing: CLOWNS: a new website from AllThingsMike
This is the "Clowns" internet movie. It is 6:23 long. Play the movie by hitting the "PLAY" button in the center of the image. First, please disable the music from playing on this site, by clicking the off button on the "Jukebox This Week" slider to the left under the "AllThingsMike Universe" module. If you have a slower computer or dialup service, click the pause button on the movie player above immediately after you hit "Play" and wait until the light grey slider moves to the center of the player, or else the movie will play in fits and starts. This latest MikeVideo internet movie was over two weeks in the making. Assembled from images gained in an image search on both Google and Yahoo, "Clowns" is comprised of over 200 separate images, animated overlays, and effects.
"Clowns" is my latest MikeVideo Internet Movie ©. I frequently quote myself from 1999: "Someday we will all have our own television stations on the internet." Now, thanks to sites like YouTube (My channel can be found HERE) I have been able to assemble 16 of my latest and older MikeVideos, including masterpieces like "Renaissance Day" and "Aribitrmage Dreams", not to mention the WhenWordsCollide Video Blogs, of which the next should be available by the end of the month. The Clowns Website will include a page with the above video, and I was up late last night finishing it and uploading it to YouTube. The website also includes a "History" of clowns, and some examples of my composite art, of which I am showing some here on the blog. Above is the first composite I created for clowns about three weeks ago. The composite includes paintings, toys, and circus poster art. (Tip: Click the image itself for a larger copy to appear in another window)
This image is the "Clown Court", and includes a clownheaded speaker, and clowns in the audience and in art on the walls of the court. Pennywise, the evil clown from the television miniseries "It" is sitting in the back row in two different places.
I hope that the Clowns video and website amuse you and that you aren't too scared of "ferocious" and "evil" clowns.A lot of people hate clowns, and there is a lot of support amongst clown haters on the internet. I agree that clowns can be both ferocious and funny, and they fascinate me. The digital greasepaint I am "wearing" in my profile picture was all applied in the Picture Publisher program, which I use for my composites. The video was completely constructed in Pinnacle Studio 9.4. The clowns cavorting with me in the top composite on this entry are clones of "Chucko the Clown" who was a Los Angeles kiddie show television host in the 60s. You can hear the theme song to the Chucko show on the main page of my Clowns website.

RYC: yes, I will be in SoCal, Anaheim specifically, July 24-30 with a group of my shiney friends. It would indeed be spectacular to meet. We'll be in Disneyland all day on July 29 - at least that's the current plan. :sunny:

What a wonderful idea. I will say that clowns do scare me at times. I did go through my "clown phase" when I drew every kind of clown imaginable. I also had tickets to every circus that came to town. LOL I think that I wanted to run off and join them. I was of course going to be a high wire person not a clown.

Clowns are scary even though my son is a clown, that's one of his jobs. He doesn't scare me, but some clowns do. I wrote my Island post.
With my dailup modem it took a few years to download the video but I thoroughly enjoyed it...always wondering where you get the time to do find all the pic's and putting together a video like that. Well done.

Hi, Mike...Some of your clown pics look ferocious. I am not scared of clowns as some people are. However I'm pretty much a purist. I like The Barnum and Bailey clowns....Mollie is one of my favs. My all time fav is Bello Nock. So much talent. Anyway, I don't have much of a luck story...Perhaps I'll blog tomorrow on the subject. :goodjob: Thanks for your comment! I thought I'd subbed to you on YouTube but I don't recall seeing that as active when I sign in, I must check. As before, you encourage me to do more with video, I have some that just awaits editing. I found a local site for showing video also but have yet to hear back from them as regards submitting some. They only use QuickTime format which is annoying but I see software can be bought to convert footage. I'm looking into the global warming business in more detail in coming days.

My mom's friend is deathly afraid of clowns. One time she called my mom to tell her 'a clown just followed me on my way home', and mom thinks she is just talking about some weirdo and her friend says, 'No, I mean a CLOWN followed me!" LOL.

I have both the Xanga lock and am on protected. I chose protected since I do post a lot of photos of people where we visit and it's just a little additional privacy for them.
I also could have gotten a virus when a "teeny bopper" left an annoying and space consuming comment and I clicked on the site to flag it. As soon as I clicked on , my computer began to act wierd and I lost a lot of pictures etc. Everything is fixed now...but I never want that type of thing to recur. I contacted Xanga so hopefully the offending site was shut down. I should have known..since it had "melissa" in the name. Remember the "melissa" virus? I would say not to open a suspicious comment ....(and I did:mad::mad:) It won't happen again!
My all-time favorite clown was and always will be Red Skelton...I loved his show when I was a kid. Didn't care much for Bozo, though...I guess because he wasn't much more than a host for a kids' show. Red was a true actor. Neither of my sons likes clowns at all, though. When my eldest was little, his dad's aunt gave him a clown doll that she had made. It was too fragile for him to play with, so I perched it up on the curtain rod of his bedroom window. One night, he was having trouble falling asleep (as usual) and he admitted to me that the clown scared him, so I took it down and he never had trouble falling asleep again. But my best fear-of-clowns story is about my brother...he got a Jack-in-the-box one Christmas and the first time the clown jumped out at him, he laughed...but after that, even just the sight of the closed box scared him so bad that even putting it up in the back of the closet shelf wasn't good enough so my mom had to get rid of it. But I loved that Jack-in-the-box...
