Everybody’s Doing It. Sheer Vanity. (actually profile pic tests with new spectacles)
Contemplation. Seriousness. Concern.
Surprise. Glee. Efferevesence.
Joy, Scary closeup, Not camera shy.
Catalina. Casino entrance. Impressive. (Didn’t think I’d take up all the photos with pics of my own mug, did you? ) (I have more, honestly, but vanity is only funny three times.)
Last Spring. When the Jacarandas were in bloom.
Spike. Pensive. Ready for a nap. Why did you wake me?
Merry Go Round and Round, Griffith Park.
Morning Has Broken. Through the clouds. With Chain Link Fence.
Until next time. And notice I didn’t show another vanity photo.
Oh, and in case you didn’t know. Click each image to see the larger version.

You highly amuse me (and kinda scare me), Mike.
My editor got fired for talking back. Crazy world like that.
And it was the grin that scared me. I can’t have such mirth without, you know, dead hooker jokes. But I’m young and pretentious.
LOL, definitely the pensive. But I do like that close up
Dear Mike,
I changed my profile pic to match my attitude! I don’t want to be the little scared Alice going through the looking glass right now. I want to be the brazen gun slinging hip hugging rifle holding Candice Bergen of yesteryear! Vanity! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don’t want to accept the image of me walking with a walker right now. Inside my attitude is damn! I want my life back and don’t stop me or else!
So there! (wink*)

uh, what happened to the rest of your mustache? Nice pics!
Dear Nana,
Good question from the pics. I shave the tops of the ends of the mustache, and from the angle it seems like both sides aren’t equal. I’ll have to remedy that tomorrow morning when shaving. I cut my own hair (what’s left of it) too.

Nice pics! You look nice and happy!
I actually came over to invite you to submit your favorite post for the Book Project. Of course you don’t have to, but I would love to see you in it..
~D~
Amazing pics !
How did you snap those pics of yourself?
That close up grin might work as good fodder for my Nano novel. Thanks man.
You are too silly.
I like the kitty, and the sunrise photo.
~Jenny
Those are all totally great pictures, Mike! Thanks so much for sharing them! (((Hugs))
Great photos, all of them! You obviously have a nutty sense of humour, (the best humour) with the ones of you included!
great photos…the kitty one is adorable, the jacarandas are gorgeouse, and I love the surise pic….oh yeah, the ones of you are alright too
…lol
Hi. I stopped by your site tonight, and loved the pictures, but I took the time to read some of your previous entries, in particular, the cancerboy diaries. First of all, I want to tell you that I am sorry about all of the losses you hav experienced recently. Secondly, my prayers are with your friend. Lastly, I want to say that the angst that you feel comes through very clearly in your writing. The feelings, the emotions, – wow… Thanks for sharing something so personal. I believe in miracles, and I will come back to read the future cancerboy diaries looking for the positives. Blessings.
Kitty looks like he wants to kick butt!
Hi, Mike…..ryc….the angel wings are the actual wings I spoke of in the writing. Thanks of reading and commenting so favorable…I take it as a real compliment coming from you! This is my new passion and I’m really enjoying it. My last passion (gardening) took a toll with the drought. I like your kitty….I have two.
LOL ….cute!!!!
You poser! jk. I see you like the bigger aviators. Jacarandas seem interesting, but more, I love the tire swing! Still ove any kind of swing, well…maybe not the bungee ‘swing.’ Spike looks pissed. The merry-go-round, fun. ryc: Thank you for reading my entry. I was mainly dealing with the subject at hand, but also had many questions arise. I am all for helping people come to a better understanding and acceptance of our differences, but, as you know, it starts with ourselves. Sadly, I don’t believe prejudice will ever disappear, even if I manifest it’s absence, on a daily basis. Even if I wish it away or pray about it. Prejudice started centuries ago, I don’t believe it possible, to ever do away with it, although, if Utopia was real, who knows? Utopia exists only in our minds and dreams.
love the ego shots! they show the fun loving side of you! and i think they’re wonderful!
You area very eloquent writer. Are you a professional writer?
Thank you for the kind commments you left at my site. I really enjoy it when folks breeze by and relate stories of their similar or dissimilar experiences as to those I have written. I’ll bet you have a million stories to share!!!!
By the way, I like the pic you chose for your profile shot the best.
Come read my last two blogs….case solved.
Hi Mike,
Were you holding the camera yourself for those? They are all an absolute kick. Fearsome kitty, as well, ohhh, I was scared.
I happen to love carousels, and it’s always nice to visit one in pictures that I’m not likely to visit otherwise. I posted a carousel picture myself in yesterday’s blog, gmta?
I want you to know that I’m including your roommate in my prayers. My way of praying may not be yours or anyone else’s way, but I believe all prayers draw upon the same source, and every one helps. Blessings on you both…
Sandy
Dear Mike,
Time seems to be flying here and I haven’t come by as often as I’d like. Your posts are always so wonderful to read. I’m glad I didn’t miss your Photopost. I enjoy them so much. I like your “serious” photo… you have such striking blue eyes. And it’s great that your site is pulled up on your computer in the background, such a diligent writer! I went back and read the posts I missed since I was here last. Your Mother sounds like she was an awesome woman. And you were such a good son. I’m sure she’s smiling down at you with pride. I will keep Joel in my thoughts and prayers, and you as well. I know it can be hard to be there for someone so ill. You have a big heart Mike and I’m sure Karma will reward you. Take care.
~Suzanne
Thanks for YOUR comments, Michael. Yes, I guess I am a bit of a creationist – but that doesn’t have to be as childish nor ignorant as many make it to seem. I guess it just reflects my view of life, but not my “over-view”, if that makes any sense. There is so much more to understand than most religious people are aware of.
I’m going to subscribe to your site, lots of good stuff in here, for a fool! Guess we were both members of the same club and didn’t know it. John
hey mike, great pics, you are so talented, I hope things are going beter right now for your roomie, he is so in my thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ll miss you–MSN doesn’t agree with my computer. I read you quite often, but its just a flyby.
