Did you drive by once more, again and again
Intrigued and disgusted by facades of pain
Cookie cutter houses of incredible hurt
Lack of flow'rs and gardens on the fallow dirt
Did it seem like home to you, poor sorrow soul
As your passions emptied, your body less whole
Did the neighborhood cave in, on top of your head
Did the living seem corpses, as if they were dead
The House of Pain sits at the end of the street
Corrupted by calamity, scorched in the heat
The door opens wide and beackons you in there
You must stop the car but it hardly seems fair
There is NO Vacancy in the House of Pain
So you drove by once more, again and again
Tears are a common sight in this neighborhood
And though you once lived here, now it's no good
There is NO Vacancy in the House of Pain
More time to think through soft heat and warm rain
You drive by again, and you roll down the glass
And the pain never leaves, as the scenery rolls past
There is NO Vacancy in the House of Pain
There is no welcome where the mat was lain
The green vines of grief overrun the stark walls
Spectres and seraphs roam the bleak halls
The HOuse of Pain was filled long ago
And though hundreds leave daily, this much I know
NO one ever gets back into the House of Pain
Yet they drive by once more, again and again.

Your house of pain, I know people intimately who never leave it. A rough road to hoe, physical and mental and spiritual.
