NOTE: I wonder if every time I "tweak" the entry, posting, editing, posting, editing, if the "subscribers" get the images, including the bad ones, in their email????
If this is true, my supreme apologies. I'm so used to FTPing to the server, opening up a few browsers to see how the "art" displays online, and then when I'm satisfied, go on to another page. I have tweaked this thing above about 12 times before I was satisfied. So if anyone got multiple emails and are about to cancel your subscription from the crazy guy who can't seem to make up his mind, I apologize, and will attempt to make sure the image looks good before multiple postings on Xanga. Of course I don't know what I'm talking about anyway. It's late, and I probably should be in bed. But creating is such a "hyper" thing for me it keeps me up. 
I think the image came out rather good. The only reason I'm writing text in the space below the image is because it didn't "look right" with the two images (the poem above and the "joke news photo" of Linda Rondstadt below) so close to each other without text. My intent is to make the layout of the WhenWordsCollide site look like a magazine, with "articles", each of which will deal with a specific aspect of the AllThingsMike Universe. This was the intent, all along, with the Blogger Blogs. Movie Reviews will be in the "Review Section". Poems will announce newly transcribed material to ElectricPoetry. (Except for this one, I just wanted to put another poem up.) The mock news story (actually a real news story, a "composite" photo collage) discusses my Komedy Komedy Komedy section, with added sections which have been offline for awhile. Well, time for beddy bye now. Tomorrow is another day of WORK. Cancerboy did go back to work today. So I watched a few Tivo programs this afternoon.

I don't know if all your subscribers get e-mail everytime you edit your post. Probably, they do. I think one good solution for this could be posting for private use first and doing all the editing there. When you are absolutely satisfied with your posting, only then you post for the public. This is just a thought. I am new to Xanga. I don't really know how it works. May be I am wrong.
But I do have a suggestion for you. Your page loads real slow with a 56K modem. Either use less pictures or make sure the file size of the images are smaller. Also I don't like horizontal scrolling. Try to make the width of your pictures smaller. And probably because of Xanga's format (template) when you have pictures on your page, even vertical scrolling is not smooth. I had a few small images on my 4th of July posting. Because of that, my page also scrolls rather jerkily (did I make up that word?) and I don't like it at all. I am going to delete my 4th of July entry. I had used two real small size images in two different earlier postings. I think they did not ruin my page. But still I am going to use images very sparingly in Xanga in the future. And in my opinion, when you are "blogging", you really don't need images (as much). I think images are for "real" web sites.
Please don't misunderstand me. I am myself learning how Xanga works. What I said above about YOUR postings are just friendly suggestions. I have no intention of critizing you. I HAVE ESPECIALLY ENJOYED YOUR POSTING TODAY.

Hi Mike,
This one reminded me of the the emotional melt down when a relationship falls apart. The cadence of the piece says "loosing it", and the ending is perfect. I could be reading it all wrong, but that is my opinion.
As I visit and go through the site, you are going to get posts on old stuff, but I figure it wouldn't still be here if I wasn't supposed to post.

So sad. I feel the ache of that empty house. Best to close the door and lock it. Walk away and find yourself or stay and make it part of you. Fold the loss, the once-happiness, the pain, the hope, into yourself. Remake your lost self into something new and the house a rightful extention of that. I've been there myself before. I can really identify with this. You give your all only to lose yourself and find it would have been better to simply share yourself, accept, and demand acceptance in return.
