It is now a month later, and I am playing with the idea of changing the Journal on AllThingsMike to this newly designed “Xanga Blog”. I have been impressed with the ability for comments to be applied directly to the blogoshpere, and the image insertion is far easier that on the ‘ol blogspot program. I have added the clouds background, and the next thing to do is to create my own header info. This entry (they should be timed as on Blogspot) comes midway through June. It is Father’s Day tomorrow, and the week past raced by at a horrendous clip. I guess I’m getting “old”
But really, I feel pretty dang good these days.
The old “camaraderie” bug has bit me again, and although I should be transcribing more of my work to ElectricPoetry than I am, I have been active in quite a few of the Yahoo Groups lately, including Literature and Writing, Poetry, and Friendship groups. These endeavors can take up a lot of time, but, I think, it is worth it, because this go-round I seem to be making some friendships which shall perhaps last.
My own “group” the spin-off to the ElectricPoetry website, is also called ElectricPoetry, and now has 23 members. It seems that on the weekends, when I want to be online and “active” in my own group, there are hardly any posts. Trouble with being a single guy in a world of people who do other things than hang out at a puter all day, when I want to “interact” then “nobody’s home.” Of course the opposite is also true. I do turn on the “IM thingy” as I call it, the Yahoo Instant Messenger, from time to time, and now there are at least three folks who always “ring me up”. I still will not “call anybody” on the thing, because I still feel it is somewhat “intrusive” to be writing or creating, and get that “popup” but I have learned how to shut the dang thing off, and only turn it on when I “want to talk”
Joel, my cancer afflicted roommate, is still feeling the “extreme cold” tingles which have afflicted him all week, but this hasnt’ stopped him from drinking the ol’ booze or smoking. I finally retrieved the ashtray and plopped it in front of him this morning. “Use this please” instead of the half filled bottles of beer.

Believe it or not, the guy has been smoking now for over a month, and was in denial about doing it for “just a couple of days more” that he didn’t want to retreive the ashtray himself.
Well, that’s enough for this post. I think I shall like this little blog program. Each entry can have it’s own color coded background, and there seem to be more fonts available, and these little “smileys” are neat.
Takes me back to 1970.

Hey, Mike! Nice to see you in Xangaland. I didn’t know you were here or I’d have dropped by with some raspberry rugala. Just a couple of helpful tips: The little smiley thingies for your comments section can be picked up HERE. You can go HERE or HERE to get a live chatterbox/tagboard for your blog and it’s really simple to put into your Look & Feel. There’s something delicious about the immediacy of a tagboard. I’m so glad to see you, my friend. I added you to my SIR list. Love ya! –WW
Well, if you will post that no-one ever comments on the ‘old’ posts, I’m sure you’re bound to get lots of people commenting ~x~
Interesting site! Random props! Hit me back nugget!
